Delores Kaste, age 82, of Staples, passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital, on Monday, October 8. Services will be held on Friday, October 12, at 11:00 AM, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Staples. Visitation will be Thursday evening, from 5-7, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples and one hour prior to the service, at the church. Burial will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery, in Staples.
Delores Ovidia Kaste was born on September 25, 1930, in Folden Township, Ottertail County, MN to Oscar and Noranda Corrine (Olson) Moen. She attended country school 234 of Folden. She sang and played music at the Folden Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Glynn Kaste of Henning on December 22, 1948, in East Grand Forks.
When Glynn was drafted into the Army for Korea in 1952, she went to work for Munsingwear Co. in Minneapolis. In 1955, the family moved to Staples. Delores was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting and music. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Delores is survived by her sister, Carol Frol of Minneapolis; two sons, Stan Kaste of Staples, and Rich (Patty) Kaste of Cloverdale, IN; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glynn; sister, Shirley Buseth; and daughter-in-law, Theresa Kaste.
