Delmer Hines

Delmer Dean Hines, 59, of Brainerd, MN died on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Funeral Services for Delmer will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Merrifield Community Church of the Nazarene in Merrifield, MN at 11:00AM with Pastor Ronald Christenson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial at Wildwood Cemetery.

Delmer was born on December 7, 1955 in Two Harbors, MN to Victor and Ida (Barnes) Hines. Delmer and his family moved to the Brainerd area where he attended Brainerd High School and participated in high school wrestling. Delmer worked for Stewart Forest Products in Brainerd, MN for many many years. He moved to Cullman, Alabama in 2000. While in Alabama he worked as a welder for Willingham. He moved back to Brainerd in 2011. Delmer enjoyed classic cars, football, and NASCAR. He loved to go hunting and fishing.

Delmer is survived by his son, Shawn (significant other, Mesha); close friend, Carol Tolbert; daughters, Andrea and Missy; grandson, Mason; granddaughters, Vanessa and Ava; brothers, Gordy (Melinda), Harry, (Arlene), Earl (Ethel), and Victor (Jane); and sisters, Barbara (Terry), Linda, Nancy (Monty), Virginia (Calvin), and Edna (Chuck). He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ida; granddaughter, Courtney; and brother-in-law, Hank.
