Della Evans

Della (Bacon) Evans, age 88, resident of Edgewood Vista, Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2011. Della was born to Edmund and Delphina (Jones) Bacon on December 24, 1922 in Beaver, Utah.

She and her husband owned and operated the Hub Cafe in Brainerd for many years and she was also employed by the Brainerd School District at the Brainerd State Hospital. Della also volunteered as a Foster Grandparent.

Shortly before her death she gathered her family to counsel and share her love with them. Her family and friends will remember Della as a loving and caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. She reached out in love to help many people in her life.

Della is survived by her four daughters, Mary (Steve) Adams, Isle MN, JoAnne (Thomas) Nelson, Brainerd, MN, Joyce (Howard) Jensen, Bemidji, MN, and Gayle (Clint) Muth Evans, Staples, MN and son, Paul Jeffrey (Toni) Evans, Tenstrike, MN. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Evans; sons, Allen George Evans, Mark Evans, and Brain Evans.

Della is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her wishes were to not have a funeral service but to have family and friends gather to celebrate her life at a later date. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, MN.
