Della Deboer

Della E. DeBoer, age 92, of Pelican Rapids, formerly of Pine River, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Pelican Valley Health Center in Pelican Rapids.

Della Carlson was born in Timber Lake, SD on June 14, 1916 to Hans and Ella (Erickson) Carlson. She married Charles DeBoer and they moved to the Pine River area in 1937. They briefly lived in Oregon before returning to Pine River. Della worked a number of years at Silbaugh's Department Store. She retired from there and worked at the Pine River Golf Course.



She enjoyed sewing, baking, redecorating her homes and visiting with friends.

Della was a member of First Lutheran Church and a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by sons, Thomas (Mary) of Mountaintop, PA, Gary (Karen) of Monticello; daughter, Cheryl Lundrigan of Pelican Rapids; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Della was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Theodore, George and John; and sisters, Christine, Esther, Hilma and Edith.

Services will be 11 AM on Wednesday, March 18 at the Kline Funeral Home in Pine River. Burial will be in Kedron Cemetery, rural Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
