Delene Berry

Delene R. Berry, 91, of Brainerd, MN died on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Good Samaritan Village-Woodland in Brainerd, MN. Private Family Services will be held.

Delene was born on December 16, 1924 in Swatara, MN to James and Irene (Harrington) Elliott. She worked in Washington during WWII for Boeing "Rosie The Riveter". Delene returned to the Brainerd/Merrifield area, where she began working at the Brainerd Nursing Home in housekeeping. She then went to work for Good Samaritan Society in Brainerd where she worked until her early 70's. Delene enjoyed sewing, reading, and watching westerns on TV.

Delene is survived by her children, Morris James (Cheryl) Berry of Baxter, MN, Merle (Glen) Berry Brainerd, MN, Wanda (Norman) Dale Aurora, MN, Sharon (Bernie) Hazelton of Brainerd, MN, and Bonnie Nelson of Pequot Lakes, MN; ten grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great0great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister; and three brothers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
