Debra Vorwerk

Debra Vorwerk, 64 of Motley died peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2020 at home surrounded by family and friends after a 10 month battle with Lung Cancer during which she always had a positive attitude. Services for Deb will be 3:00 on Thursday, July 23 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Visitation will be two hours prior to Service.

She is preceded in death by partner in life, Randy; parents James & Marion Neary; grandson, Jameson; siblings, Sheila, Jimmy, Johnny, Dennis, Kevin.

Deb was born on October 12, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to James & Marion Neary. She was friendly, kind, had a great sense of humor and was always willing to listen to others. Deb spent her entire life as a caregiver; she started a home daycare and then began working at a nursing home after her children were in school. After moving to Motley, she worked at a group home and began caring for Randy after his ALS diagnosis. She was also known as Debbie, Bee, Moo-Moo and Warden. She enjoyed going to the casino and loved being with family and friends. She was the life of the party and loved to laugh!

Deb is survived by her children, Dan (Darcy), Denise (Michael), grandchildren, Kailey, Katelyn, Andrew; siblings, Pat (Merlyn), Dee, Tommy (Mary Ann) Kathy (Cliff), Helen (Larry); special friends Deanna & Jeff, Christine & Matt and many nieces and nephews.
