Our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt Debra Jill Herrlich, 46, of Nisswa, passed away peacefully at Hills Crossing Assisted Living following her courageous battles with brain cancer. Debra was born February 14, 1972, in Brainerd, the daughter of Loren and Naomi (Charlet) Herrlich. Following her graduation from Brainerd High School, Debra worked several jobs in the Brainerd Lakes Area.
Debbie enjoyed many hobbies, such as: cross stitching, baking, puzzles, and playing Bingo. She also liked spending time outside feeding birds and watering plants. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Gophers. Above all, she loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for the hugs she gave, the hands she held, and the love she shared.
She will be missed by her mother, Naomi; brother, Randy (Cindy) Herrlich, sister, Nancy (Matt) Peterson; and her nieces and nephews, Cassidi Herrlich, Lexi Peterson, Jack Peterson, Caleb Herrlich, Zachary Herrlich, and Izaac Herrlich. She was preceded in death by her father, Loren; her grandparents; and her beloved cat, Shadow.
Debbie loved popcorn and had great capacity for sharing her popcorn. In her honor, memorials will be used to purchase a popcorn machine and supplies for Hills Crossing of Nisswa.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Pastor Steve Benson will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.
