Debra Jean Becker passed away suddenly on February 4, 2022. She will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Debra jean Becker (Mock) was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 23, 1962, to Edward Charles and Alice Jane Mock. She graduated high school in Royalton, MN, and college at St. Cloud State University. She moved to Houston, TX where she met and married Gordon Becker and his son Andrion. They all later returned to the Staples, MN area to live.
Deb worked at Essentia Health in Brainerd MN and loved her job and work family. Staples Alliance Church in Staples, MN was her extended family that gave her much fellowship, joy, and support. Deb was an avid flower gardener and planted flower bulbs by the hundreds and thousands. She awaited every spring for the explosion of color that would emerge from the frozen ground. Deb deeply cared for other people, always helping in any way she could. She was so thoughtful and encouraged everyone she knew to be their best selves. Her faith in Jesus Christ as her savior led her to live a life of truth and peace. Her greatest mission in life was to spread the love of Jesus Christ and show God’s love and care for those in need. Deb was all about family and spent much time, energy and love on her family, nieces and nephews and their children. She enjoyed living in close proximity to family so she could see them on an almost daily basis.
She is survived by her son Andrion Becker, her mother Alice Mock, her siblings Chuck Mock, Mary Mock and Patricia Clavin, and numerous nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gordon Becker and her father Edward Mock.
Deb was a huge supporter of Focus on the Family. In lieu of flowers, Deb would appreciate donations be made on her behalf to FocusOnTheFamily.com
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
