Dean Spencer

Dean Spencer, 71, of Brainerd, MN passed away at his home on October 16, 2023. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dean was born to Craig and Lorraine Spencer on March 16, 1952 in Brainerd, MN. He married Shelley Marmorine on April 17, 1982. Dean was employed by the City of Brooklyn Park as the Assistant Superintendent of the Golf Course. Shelley and Dean then retired to the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Dean loved to put his chef skills to work and share his love of cooking. He enjoyed fishing and hunting all types of wildlife. He was always willing to help others with projects, and loved working around his home. Dean was also proud to serve as a volunteer firefighter.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Shelley; his children Daniel (Nicole) Spencer and Brian Spencer; grandchild Dane Spencer; his siblings Danya Spencer, Lisa Anderson, Allison Ladd, and Dr. Drew Spencer.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents Craig and Lorraine, and his sister Susan Dolan.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
