Dean Oliver

Dean R. Oliver, age 79, of Brainerd, died Sunday afternoon at his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Temple Baptist Church in Brainerd with Reverend Burton Tappe officiating. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley. Relatives will receive friends on Wednesday at the Church after 9:00.
Dean was born on October 27th, 1924 in Walker to Judge A. B. and Olive (Huff) Oliver. In December of 1943 went into the US Army and served in Europe during WWII. On August 28th, 1965 he married Beverly Brolin in Watertown, SD. For many years Dean worked as a mechanic for the Coca Cola Company.

He is survived by his wife; Beverly, 3 daughters; Joylene Worth of Pueblo, CO, Christy (Jim) Keil of Brainerd, and Julie (Nick) Newman of Little Falls, 4 sons; Craig (Connie) Johnson of Pueblo, CO, LeRoy (Phyllis) Johnson of Little Falls, Mike (Jeannette) Johnson of Pequot Lakes, and Ronald Oliver of Isanti, 3 sisters; June Gullmeir of Minneapolis, Pat Oliver of Nisswa, and Clara Mae Humphrey, of Seattle, WA; 16 grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Rose Kathleen Barrett,9 brothers and sisters.
