Dean L Hoeft was born on May 25, 1957 in Minneapolis to parents Jim and Ann Hoeft. He spent most of his childhood and adult life in Brainerd MN area.
In October of 1991 he married the best thing that ever happened to him, his wife Dee Nelsen. They loved fishing together and bought a special place in Backus on Swede Lake. Their love was unconditional.
Dean’s decline began the summer of 2017 when he was diagnosed with dementia. This also began my special reconnection with my little brother. Many trips to Minnesota, lots of car rides, and eating at most restaurants from Brainerd to Staples.
Dean’s journey ended peacefully May 24, 2022. He was so lucky to have had the love and support of his daughter Teri and her family during his life. A special thank you to Erin Walters of Harmony House in Motley for your caring and compassion.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife Dee. His parents Jim and Ann Hoeft, Sisters Yvonne and Kathy, Brother Doug.
He is survived by his sister Linda (Mike) Thompson, nieces Ann Thompson and Heather Bartell, nephews Jim and Josh Richardson, Mike and Rick Bartell. Daughters Teri (John) Duff, Jodi (Greg) Dallman, son Donald (Tatiana) Nelsen. Seven grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren.
At Dean’s request there will be no services. Rest in peace little brother.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
