Dayton Morse

Dayton G. Morse, 84, of Pequot Lakes, MN died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home. Services for Dayton will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 2:00 PM at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, MN with Pastor Frank Milo officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Dayton was born on September 8, 1928 in Browns Valley, MN son of the late S.P. and Gertrude (Nickols) Morse. He was united into marriage to Ardys Schaunamann on June 22, 1953 in Browns Valley, MN. They moved to Portland, OR where he worked as a union hod carrier. Dayton and Ardys moved to Pequot Lakes, MN in 1982 where he was a resident until his death. Dayton loved working, gardening, and fixing things. He also enjoyed bird watching.

Dayton is survived by wife, Ardys; son, Kip (Molly) Morse of Gresham, OR; daughter, Caramia Morse of Pequot Lakes, MN; sisters, Edith Magedanz and Gert Kruger; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.P. and Gertrude; brothers, David and Donald; and sisters, Hazel and Jimmy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN.
