Dayton Larson

June 25, 2019 Dayton Lamarr Larson went to join his family in Heaven. Services for Dayton will be 11:00AM, Monday, July 1, 2019 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd, MN with Pastor John Stiles officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7PM, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN.

Dayton was born March 9, 1945 to Eleanor and Alvin Larson in Northwood, ND. He grew up in Kloten ND and graduated from school there. He attended Wahpeton State School of Science. He then moved to St. Paul, where he met his wife, Cheryl. They were married in Baudette, MN on August 31, 1968. They moved to Brainerd in 1974. Dayton was employed by School District #181 for 34 years. Dayton was a kind, generous, loving man that always thought of others, especially children. He was a great father to his children, son Brian (Pam) Larson, daughter Lindsay (Bryan) Smude. They were his pride and joy. His greatest gifts in his life were his grandchildren, Emilie Anne Smude, Brady Lamarr Larson, Isabelle Anne Smude, Bennett Peter Larson; step grandchildren, Bryanna (Jake) Sadler, Emmalee Foss, Garrett Foss; step great-grandchildren, Amelia, Alivia and Alyse. They brought him so much love and happiness. Every day he spent with them was the best day ever.

Dayton will join his parents; grandparents; nephews; brothers-in-law and mother-in-law in Heaven. He will be remembered and loved by his wife, Cheryl; children and grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brother; sister and their families; and special friend, Grace Agnes LePage.
