Dawn Thompson

Dawn Thompson, 47, of Staples, MN went to join her sister, on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples, MN. Services for Dawn will be at 11:00AM, Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples, MN.

Dawn was born May 28, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN to James and Mary (Keil) Carlson. She graduated from Staples High School in 1986. Dawn raised her family in Staples and later moved to the Oakes/Jamestown, ND area, where she worked with RD Offutt Potato Farms. She returned to Staples in late 2012. Dawn enjoyed being with her family and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cooking, collecting cookie jars, spending time with her sister, laughing, joking and being goofy.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Terry Thompson of Jamestown, ND; children, Brandon (Paige) Carlson of Staples, MN, Dustin Thompson of Lisbon, ND, Parker Thompson of Staples, MN, Hailey Thompson of Staples, MN; two grandchildren, Hope and Kelsey; parents, Jim and Mary Carlson of Staples, MN; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Carlson Robben. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
