David Zettervall

David W. Zettervall, age 63 of Brainerd, Minn. has passed away October 31, 2001 at his home surrounded by his family. The funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 South Sixth Street, Brainerd, at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, officiating Pastor David P. Holte. Gathering of friends will follow at the Eagles Club for food, 50's music and shared memories. Funeral arrangements have been made with Brenny Funeral Home.
On December 18, 1937 David was born the son of Walter and Genivieve (Schelhorn) Zettervall in Brainerd, Minn., where he was raised, and resided there his entire life, other than traveling with his wife Joni to escape Minnesota winters. David graduated from Brainerd High School in 1957, and in 1961 started his 38 years of service to Potlatch Paper Corp. In 1998 he retired as part of mechanical services, and was known for what he did during his time on the "track crew". David was skilled and talented in so many ways. A few of his favorites include: hunting, fishing, pretty much anything to do with the outdoors, woodworking, getting together with family and most of all taking out the 5th wheel with his wife.

He is survived by his loving wife Joni, 5 daughters: Kathy Zettervall of Brainerd, Minn., Debbie Zettervall of Crosby, Minn., Barb (Scott) Risnes of Crosby, Minn., Kari McKenna of Lakeville, Minn., Angie (Chad) Anderson of Perham, Minn., 1 son Richard McKenna of Brainerd, Minn., 8 grandchildren: Randy, Erin, Jamie, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Tim, Josh and McKenzie; 2 sisters, Joan Peterson of Brainerd, Rita Steiner of Foley, MN; a brother Irv (Kathi) Zettervall of Ramsey, MN; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a lifetime of good friends. Preceding David in death are both his parents.
