David Pejka

David Pejka, 84, of Lakeshore, MN, formerly of Hayward, WI, died March 30, 2014 at Harmony House in Brainerd, MN. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with family and friends invited to gather one hour prior and to stay following for a luncheon in the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room.

David was born June 21, 1929, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Joseph and Joanna Pejka. Following high school, David enlisted in the United State Army and served ini Japan for two years during the conclusion of WWII. He reenlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country from 22 years. During his last assignment, David was stationed in Alaska where he inspected NORAD. David was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and spending time on his tree farm.

He will be missed by his children, Greg (Cindy) Pejka, John (Penny) Pejka, and Tina Pejka; siblings, Jim, Jerry Jo, Pauline, and Paulette; grandchildren, Jessica Pejka, Katie Pejka, Michelle Pejka, Zachary Van Ballan, and Adam Van Ballan; and great-grandson, Jorey Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Joanna and brothers, Roger and Ralph.
