David Eide

David N. Eide, age 71, of Nisswa passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Private services will be held at a later date.

David was born on August 4, 1946 in Fargo, North Dakota to Norman and Adeline (Jacobson) Eide. He grew up and graduated from high school in Moorhead, and then enlisted and served in the US Air Force. He attended Moorhead State College and worked for Johnson Control before becoming self-employed at Northern Air Systems. He was married to Catherine (Bohn) in Brainerd on September 18, 1993. Following his move to the Lakes Area he worked at Crystal Pierz Marine for 25 years. David was a member of the Homing Pigeon Club and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and reading. His most precious time was spent with his family.

David is survived by his wife, Cathy; stepsons, Matthew (Jenny) Ketterling and Benjamin (Tori) Ketterling; grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Joshua, Jacob, and Max; siblings, Kevin and Laurie; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
