Darrold Nelson

Darrold Nelson, age 60, of Brainerd, died July 6, 2003 at his home. Darrold Lloyd Nelson was born on July 16, 1942 in Brainerd to Andrew Otto & Mary Eldoro (Jones) Nelson. . Darrold attended the Vo/Tech in Brainerd and served in the United States Army from August 4, 1959 ? January 4, 1961. Following his honorable discharge he was united in marriage to Diann Jotham on October 4, 1963 He was a diesel mechanic and former member of the Moose Lodge.
Darrold is survived by his wife, Diann; daughter Tena Noonkesser; 3 sons, Todd and Kirk Nelson of Brainerd and Scot Nelson of Merrifield; eight grandchildren Michael, Brandon, Jessica, Cassandra, Cody, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Dylan; two brothers Mike Nelson and Keith Nelson; two sisters, Becky Lakin and Bonnie Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ray.

Memorial service will be July 10, 2003 at 11 AM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Father Seamus Walsh officiating with visitation one hour before the service. Military honors will be provided by the Brainerd American Legion Post #255. Memorials are preferred to the Darrold Nelson Memorial Fund. Burial will take place at a later date.
