Darrell Carry

Darrell F. Carry, age 64, of Moran Township, passed away at the Lakewood Health System Hospital on Thursday, December 8, 2011. A Funeral Service is planned for Monday, December 12th at 11:00 AM, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. A visitation will be held, at the funeral home, on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Motley Public Cemetery.

Darrell was born on May 29, 1947, to Howard and Katherine (Pogreba) Carry. He graduated from Staples High School. He worked as a machinist, a farmer, and in construction. He loved to hunt, fish, go four wheeling, and play the guitar.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Kirsten; children, Shelly (Tom) Jarl of Annandale, Chad of Long Prairie, Stacy Carry of Melrose, Chanda Carry of Long Prairie, Jason (Allison) of Motley, and Rachel Carry of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Emily, Grace, and Kayla; sisters, Janice Carry and Judy (Duane) Line; brothers, Howard (Norma), Ronnie (Agnes), Doug (Lori), Gary (Bunny), and Arnie (Jackie); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Craig.
