Darlene Farber, age 65, of Pillager, died Tuesday, March 2, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 6, 10 AM, at St. Michael?s Catholic Church in Motley, with Reverend Father Peter Kirchner officiating. Friends may visit Friday, March 5, 5-7 PM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with parish prayers at 6:45. Friends may also visit at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager. Arrangements entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Darlene Pearl Fornshell was born October 6, 1938 in Brainerd, to Leonard and Leona (Hannahs) Fornshell. After graduating high school, she was united in marriage to Donald Farber on January 31, 1959, at St. Michael?s Catholic Church in Motley. In addition to caring for her family Darlene held several jobs over the years, including working at Madden?s and Grandview, working as a school cook, providing home health care to a neighbor, serving as a day care provider, and managing the Senior Citizens nutrition site. A member of St. Michael?s Catholic Church, Darlene was generous and cared about others. She was a member of the Pillager Sunshine Club for 42 years and attended a Study Club. She enthusiastically attended Pillager Huskies basketball games for many years, and worked with the Booster Club. She enjoyed playing cards, doing word puzzles, and embroidery.

Darlene will be deeply missed by Don, her husband of 45 years; two daughters, Leann (Richard) Bohman, and Barbara Draeger, both of Pillager; a son, Mark Farber, also of Pillager; four grandchildren, Ryan and Tyrone Farber, McKenzie Bohman, and Brittnie Draeger; a great-grandchild, Paige Richter; two sisters, Sandra (Ben) Mudgett and Linda Nygren, both of Pillager; two brothers, Duane (Pat) Fornshell, of Brainerd, and Jerry (?Coke?) Fornshell, of Pillager; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bonnie Bell; and a nephew, Dustin Fornshell.
