Darlene Evenson

Darlene Bernice Evenson, age 72, passed away on April 6, 2016, after losing her battle with cancer. She passed away at home being comforted and cared for by her husband, Ronnie, and family members. Darlene was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pies of Nisswa on July 8, 1943.

Darlene loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker. She also very much enjoyed reading and listening to music. Her biggest passion, however, was for animals. She loved them all and gave generously to many charities.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Pies and brother, Kenneth Pies, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronnie Evenson; son, Brad (Barb) Evenson; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Lenk; mother, Bernice Pies; and 3 grandsons: Wesley Evenson, Joshua Janssen and Taylor Janssen.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at Kline Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes on Friday April 22, 2016, from 5 to 8 PM.
