Nayme (Darla) Berg was born December 14, 1938, in Anchorage, Alaska to Emmett (Palach) Shaw and Alyce (Forsgren Shaw) Sathre. Darla along with her brother and mom were relocated to North Dakota prior to the outbreak of World War II. After graduating from high school in McGregor, North Dakota she moved to Minneapolis. Where she worked several jobs, most notably as a fashion model at JC Penny’s department store. She met her husband Dennis H Berg through friends. They were married in Mason City, Iowa on February 27, 1961. Darla and Denny began their life together in South Minneapolis where they were blessed with 3 daughters. They relocated to Spring Lake Park where they raised them and lived for 31 years. Upon retirement they moved up north to Merrifield, Mn.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents and husband Denny.
Darla is survived by daughters Melanie Klatt (Richard), Mikki Berg, and Marci Anderson (Craig). Grandchildren Gabby Holman (Drew), Dani Bevins (Brandon) and Chance Berg. Great Grandchildren Audrey and Brandt Holman. Siblings, Erroll Shaw (Ellen), Bill Shaw (Paulette), Penny Palmer, Ted Shaw (Deb), Jim Shaw, Donna Holt (Todd). Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
