Daniel Lenk

Daniel Lenk, 53, of Motley, MN passed away at his home unexpectedly Monday, August 14, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Services for Daniel will be 12:00 Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 35665 Aztec Road, Motley, MN. Interment will be at Motley Public Cemetery, with a luncheon following at 2 Tall Tavern in Cushing, MN.

Daniel was born August 13, 1964 to Donald and Clara (Orr) Lenk in Browerville, MN. He graduated from Staples High School and the Heavy Equipment program at CLC in Staples. After completing school, Daniel worked as a foreman at CR Manufacturing in the cities for a number of years before returning to the area and working at Brichacek Stone for 19 years, and then Trident Seafoods in Motley. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hobby farming, cutting wood and playing in a pool league, but riding motorcycle was his passion. He was a very devoted father and grandfather.

Daniel is survived by his fiancé and soul mate, Tammy Lewis of Motley; children, Paige Lenk of Staples, Mathew Lenk of Staples, Colby Lenk of Glencoe; step children, Brandon (Alissa) Lewis of Pillager, Ariel Lewis of Pillager; granddaughter, Libby Mumm; mother, Clara Motl of Staples; siblings, Carol (Paul) Kert of Staples, Donald Jr (Debbie) Lenk of Junction City, KS, Barbara (Joe) Hasselberg of Motley, Rosemary (Dave) Bruhn of Maple Plain, James (Cathy) Lenk of Staples, Joanne (Mark) Forsberg of Staples; step mother, Carol Lenk of Wadena; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jillian and his father, Donald Lenk; step father, Gerald Motl. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
