Daniel LaSart

Daniel L. LaSart, age 53 of Crosslake, died May 7 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Pine River. Daniel was born August 1, 1949 in Crosby to Arthur & Evelyn (Lundgren) LaSart. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Backdahl on December 6, 1971 in St. Paul. He was employed in the Brainerd lakes area as a construction worker, and was an avid outdoorsman.
Daniel is survived by his wife Geraldine; children Jason (Heather) LaSart of Isle, Rebecca (Jody) Mies of Baxter, Daniel R. LaSart of Crosslake, Anne E. LaSart of Crosslake, Jill C. LaSart of Brainerd and significant friend Ryan Headlee of Pequot Lakes; 6 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; his mother Evelyn LaSart of Crosby; 2 sisters Carol of Crosby, Dorothy of Crosslake; 2 brothers Gary of Michigan; Lester of Crosslake; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. His father, 2 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death

Services will be Friday, May 9 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake at 7 PM with Reverend Vern Broughton, chaplain of St. Joseph?s Medical Center, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Daniel LaSart Memorial Fund directed to the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
