Daniel Kepner

September 21, 1962 — January 7, 2024

Daniel (Boone) John Kepner, passed away at the age of 61 peacefully in his home surrounded by family on January 7th, 2024. He was born on September 21, 1962, to Robert (Jerry) and Mary (Schnitzler) Kepner in Shakopee MN. He Graduated high school from the Academy of Holy Angels in 1981. Soon after high school, Dan began working as an electrician, taking pride in his work for 40+ years. In January of 1986, Dan began dating Tammy (Sauter) and a short time later they would marry on November 29th and have continued to grow their love for the past 37 years. After buying their first home in Apple Valley, MN they started their family of four together. In 1998 they took a chance and moved to Breezy Point, MN where they have happily lived since.

Dan was a hard-working guy with the heart of gold. His passion for the outdoors was endless; from hunting, fishing, pontoon rides, kayaking, and even just mowing his lawn, he just wanted to be outside. He loved hosting large gatherings with family and friends. Having everyone together was something that he truly cherished and always brought a huge smile to his face; and a good one it was. If he wasn’t manning the grills you would find him tending his fire with a cold one in hand.

Daniel is survived by his wife Tammy, son Ben (Morgan) Kepner, daughter Cassie (Cole) Serfling, grandchildren James (9), Jaxon (7), Chase (2.5), Elayna (3 Months). His mother, Mary Kepner; brothers, Bob (Shelly) Kepner, Tom (Cheryl) Kepner, Tim (Liza) Kepner; sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Brunkow, Cindy (Kevin) Mell, MaryAnn (Dave) Solberg, Molly (Dan) Porter; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Daniel is preceded in death by his father Robert (Jerry) Kepner
