Daniel Dean Germann, 55, of Motley, died Friday June 19, 2015 at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 24 at Motley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.
Daniel was born May 4, 1960, in Wadena, MN, the son of Jack E. and Vivian (Flansburg) Germann. When he was young the family moved to Motley and Daniel was raised in the Motley Area. He worked at a number of places: he worked for the City of Motley and Tri County Road Construction; he worked at Larson Boats in Little Falls; and most recently retired from Homecrest in Wadena due to health concerns. Daniel enjoyed cutting and working with wood. He liked to fish. And he had a creative side that he nurtured by playing the guitar and drawing.
He will be missed by his mom, Vivian Dickman; siblings, Darold Hanson, of Stanchfield, Jeanne (Ray) Churchill, of Brainerd, Joyce (Jim) Brune, of Frazee, Joan (Donny) Thomas, of Brainerd, and David Germann, of Motley; many nieces and nephews; and his little buddy, LaDaynian. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jack; sister, Judy; and brother, Billy.
