Dale Westergard

A Celebration of Dale Westergard's Life will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 12:00-2:30 PM, at the Ramada Inn, 1330 Industrial Blvd, Minneapolis, MN in Salons A and B of the Minnesota Grand Ball Room. Private Family Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.

Dale Martin Westergard was born November 19, 1939 in Minneapolis, the son of Martin and Cora (Olson) Westergard. He was enlisted in the Naval Reserve for six years, two years of which he served in Morocco. He worked at several locations in the Metro area; he was a draftsman at Northern Pump before working for Control Data and Lucent Technology. He was united in marriage to Kathy who preceded him in death. He was married to Judy for 12 years. After eight years of dating, Dale and Diane married on March 12, 2001. They retired to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Dale enjoyed traveling in his motor home with his children. His passions included welding, making stained glass, being outdoors, raising roses, and cruising on the pontoon.

Dale is survived by his wife, Diane, children; step children, Pat (Barb) Westergard, Marty (Amy) Westergard, Paul (Stephanie Tokar) Westergard, Angie (Stuart) Dombeck, Annette (Dave) Peller, Kathiann Kotula, Kristine (Henric) Petersson, Jeron (Diana) Armenta, Adrienne (Shawn) Armenta Mansfield, John (Julie) Armenta, Leslie (Andrew) Freymann; brother, Dean (Judy) Westergard; sister Joy (Gary) Medin; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Kathy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
