Dale Howard

Dale Howard, age 79, of Staples, passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2009. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, February 4th at 12:00 at the United Methodist Church in Staples with Pastor Wesley Johnson officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Dale was born on November 7, 1929 in Plummer, MN to Loyde and Alpha (Marmorine) Howard. In 1953 Dale met Millie Peterson at a dance and they were married one year later. Dale worked for the Radisson Hotels in the Twin Cities for 25 before retiring in 1995. In 1996 he and Millie moved to the Staples area. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Staples and was very active with the Boy Scouts of America.

Dale is survived by his wife, Millie; children, Allen, Gerald, Robert, Donna, and Nancy (Mike) Bickford; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Dwight; sisters, Eileen (Melvin) Woell, Ila Eliason, and Ina Burman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
