Dale Brostrom

Dale Arnold Brostrom passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 12 PM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel-Baxter. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN at a later date.

Dale was born on February 03, 1929 to Arthur and Cerina (Rupprecht) Brostrom in Staples, Minnesota. He joined the Army shortly after high school where he was a carpenter and a Korean War Veteran. After serving, Dale worked as an electrician with Star Electric. He was married to June Doland on June 23, 2002. Dale enjoyed hunting, and woodworking. He also loved tapioca pudding, and even joked with his grandchildren that it contained salamander eyes so there would be more for himself. Dale will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by June, his wife for 18 years; children Debbie (Jim) Wasnalas, Donna (Shawn) Wilmont, Mike (Laura) Brostrom; stepchildren JoAnn Miles, Stephen (Marcelle) Doland, Michele (Dave) Leibold, Patricia Ross Lewie (Carol) Brostrom, Lisa (Lew) Weise, Doug Brostrom, Chris (DeAnn) Evanson,and Mike Scavo; grandchildren Dan, Cassie, Shanna, Cherish, Lynnz, Meagan, Cody, Chad, Tony, Joey, Chris (CJ), Sari, Rachael, Bailey, and Shawn; many great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Lanay) Brostrom.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Lola, Wayne, Norma, Beryl, Darlene, and Rosie; wife Phillis; and daughter Barb.
