Cynthia DeLaHunt

Cynthia Jean DeLaHunt, 59, of Crosslake, MN passed away peacefully beside her sister Kelly Jo, on February 6, 2024.  She was born January 3, 1965, in St. Paul, MN.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Barbara (Holtsapple) DeLaHunt, sister Colleen, and her canine companion River, her ever faithful sidekick for many years.  She is survived by her children Brandon DeLaHunt and Austin Leibel, grandchildren Weston and Rylan DeLaHunt, and sisters Cherye (Mark) Olmschenk, Beth (Bryan) DeLaHunt and Kelly Jo DeLaHunt.  

Cindy graduated from Mahtomedi High School in 1982 and later became a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Cindy worked as a nurse in St. Paul, MN, until she moved up to Cross Lake, MN with her 2 sons. Up north, Cindy continued to work as a nurse at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN. For so many years, Cindy touched so many lives with her tender caregiving and meticulous skills. That also included our Mom and Dad when they needed full-time help. Cindy didn't hesitate to be at their side to take care of them until the day they each died.  She was awesome with them!  

A special Thank You to Carly from St. Croix Hospice, whom Cindy and her family deeply appreciate for your care and endless support. And to Jason, a wonderful friend to Cindy and Kelly for his continuous support and friendship. 

Cindy, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Friend, etc., you were a fun-loving, compassionate and amazing person to know and share life with. We love you dearly Cindy, and you will be forever missed and always in our hearts and memories.   A family service will be held at a later date.
