Curtis Edwin Madsen, 52, of Brainerd, MN died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Essentia Health/St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. Services for Curtis will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5:00-7:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN and one hour prior to services on Friday at the chapel. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN.
Curtis was born June 17, 1963 in Brainerd, MN to Donald and Norma (Gangarossa) Madsen. He graduated from Brained High School in 1982, enjoying choir, band, and many friends. He went on to graduate from Brainerd Vocational Tech School. Curt worked in various fields, including vending repairs, skate sharpening machine repairs, carpentry, machinery assembly, and his favorite-preparing, cooking, and serving food. Curtis enjoyed being outdoors, playing frisbee golf, baking, and listening to and singing along with music. His greatest love were his children, whom he was extremely proud of.
Curtis is survived by his children, Anthony Curtis, Ashton Lee, Alisa Marie (Patrick) Williamson, Tremayne Michael, Ayla Jean, and Jacob Robert Bakkila; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Liana Williamson; mother, Norma; siblings, Cathy Veith, Michael Madsen, Mary Berntson, and Chris Madsen. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Edwin Madsen, who passed away on May 26, 2016; and an infant brother, Douglas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
