Craig Valenty

Craig Thomas Valenty, age 66, of Pillager and formerly of Minneapolis died Sunday, November 10, 2019 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Craig had many health challenges in the past 20 years; he never once waivered in his positivity and always pursued answers in medical research. A Celebration of Craig’s life will be at 1 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the celebration on Thursday.

Craig was born on April 11, 1953 in Minneapolis to Thomas and Elvira (Hedlund) Valenty. He married the love of his life, Mona Gross, on September 10, 1977. Craig’s love for Mona was always sincere, positive, and genuine.  He enjoyed model rockets, fast cars, computers, music, and photography. Craig taught his family to love and care without judgement, strive to be a better person, strength through adversity, and always negotiate a good deal. He was selfless, kind, caring, generous, spiritual, intelligent, gentle, adventurous, handsome, fearless, determined, and calm; above all else he loved his family beyond words and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Craig is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mona; children, Sean (Nicole), Lena, Thomas (Lindsay), Luke, Adam (Alison), Ethan (Mandy Vue); grandchildren, Persephone, Olivia, Seraphina, Abigail, Dean, and greatly anticipated the birth of his sixth grandchild, Jack, in January.  Craig is also survived by his siblings, Steven (Vivian), Krista (John), Antonia (Scott); he was preceded in death by his parents.
