Craig Dause

Craig Myron Dause, 55, of Staples, MN passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home in Staples, MN. Services for Craig will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Pastor Kali Christensen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Craig was born February 12, 1962 in Lodi, California to Myron and Cheryl (Reutter) Dause. He attended Oak View Elementary School and Galt High School. In his junior year he moved to Staples, MN and graduated from Staples High School. After high school, Craig returned to Lodi and worked for Valley Industries. He moved back to Minnesota in 1991 and had a lawn care business. Craig loved welding, working on his cars, tinkering in his garage, motorcycle, fishing and hunting. The most important thing to him was being with his 17 grandchildren.

Craig is survived by his wife, Kia (Holsapple) Dause; father, Myron Dause; mother, Cheryl (Larry) Nitschke; sons, John Hansen, Shawn Dause; daughter, Casey Dause-Pruitt; brother, Mark (Laura) Dause; sister, Tamera (Robert) Musolino; and 17 grandchildren. Craig was preceded in death by his daughter, Cayla Dause; grandparents, Elmer and Esther Ruetter; uncle Rick; and niece, Katie Dause. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
