Connie Murray

Connie Murray, 89, of Brainerd, MN was welcomed into heaven on Thursday January 2, 2025, in Brainerd. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at 12:00PM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service at the Chapel. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in South Long Lake Township. 

Connie was born to Peter and Magdalena Weiss on December 24, 1935, in Lastrup, MN. She met and married Frank Murray while working at the Brainerd hospital. Together, they had 5 children and one stepson.

She loved quilting and sewing. Connie gave her heart to her community through volunteer work with many different organizations. She won Senior Citizen of the Year. 

Grateful for sharing Connie’s life are her children; Linda Murray, Laurel Allord, Wendy (Ron) Opheim, daughter in-laws; Kim Murray and Rhonda Murray, eleven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sibling; JoAnn (Pat) Faust, and special friend Karl Moon. 

Connie is preceded in death by her spouse, Frank, children Bradley Murray and Michael Murray, stepson Wayne Murray, her parents, and siblings. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
