Comfort “Comfy” Adeline Yeske passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Perham Living. Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10:00- 11:30 am at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
Comfy was born to John and Marie (Haugen) Stangeland on July 20, 1926 in Dawson, Minnesota. She attended the St. Cloud Teachers College and later graduated from the Madison School of Nursing. She was united in Marriage to John Yeske on September 10, 1950, and together they had four children. Comfy was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 25 years at the Staples Hospital and also a daycare provider for various members of the community for 20 plus years. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran church. She also enjoyed knitting, camping, watching birds, especially cardinals, flower gardens and reading. Comfy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Mary Angela (David) Thompson of Andover, Elliot John (Ila) Yeske of Pelican Rapids, Gale Enid (Jeff) Thomas of Corcoran, Heidi Lou (Jeff) Weishalla of Sartell; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Yeske; brothers Verne Stangeland, and Jerome Stangeland; sister Enid Norsted; and great-grandson Cameron Yeske.
