Clyde Bacon

Clyde Wallace Bacon, age 65, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Lakewood Health Care Center in Staples, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 6, at 11:00, with Pastor Les Crider officiating at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, in Verndale. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Brenny Funeral Chapel.
Clyde Wallace Bacon was born January 12, 1942 to Otto and Neoma (Sculley) Bacon at Bagley, Minnesota. He spent his early years in northern Minnesota. He attended school in Isabella, MN and Brimson, MN. He moved with his family to Staples in 1960 working various jobs in the area. He went to Alaska and was employed as a school custodian until his retirement due to his health. He returned to Minnesota to be near his family.

He is survived by his sisters, Marlys Jares, Motley, MN, Geraldine McKinney, Brimson, MN, Lois Kern, Verndale, Carol Elarton, Pearl, MS, Deborah (Mike) Brandt, St. Cloud; brothers, Glen Bacon, Ridgefield, WA, Larry (Vicki) Bacon, Aldrich, Randy (Connie) Bacon, Albertville, MN., many nieces and nephews.
