Clinton A. Patterson, 92, of Crosslake, MN died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan in Pine River, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial for Clinton will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 1:00PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crosslake, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be planned in the spring.
Clinton was born on November 22, 1921 in Huron, SD to Joseph and Helen (Dahl) Patterson. Clinton was raised in South St. Paul and graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1939. He was a long time resident of West St. Paul, MN. He served for 4 years in the South Pacific campaign of WWII. After graduating from Rasmussen College, Clint spent 40 years in the seed industry and retired from Pioneer Hi-Bred Int'l in 1986 as VP of the Peterson Turf and Forage Division. Clint loved entertaining family and friends at their lake home in Crosslake.
Clinton is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years, Marge; children, Scott (Paula) and Christine (Ron) Langer; sisters, Grace English, Ardyth Chupurdia, and Jane Galleano, brother, Zenas (Freddie); grandchildren, Brett, Danielle, and Kyle; great-grandson, Charles, and twin great-grandchildren due in May; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen; and sister, Bertha Loss.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN.
