Clinton Keep

Clinton James Keep, age 85, of Backus, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008. He was born March 2, 1922 in Hackensack to George and Eva Keep.
He grew up in Hackensack where he attended the Hackensack School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. On July 25, 1946, he married Florence Foss. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and enjoyed camping. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Backus and the Hackensack American Legion. Clinton loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Vicki Geving (Larry) of Walker, Danny Keep (Roberta) of Hackensack, Dennis Keep (Rose) of Backus, David Keep (Carolin) of Backus, Duane Keep of Pine River; brothers: Melvin Keep of Hackensack, Vern Keep of Washington; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Florence; brothers, Perry, Clarence, Richard, Howard, Dennis, and half-sister, Violet.
Services will be 1 PM on Monday, February 11 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Backus, with Rev. Ronald Carnicom officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
