Clinton BusterBorders, 77, of Baxter died at his home Tuesday, February 12, 2008 surrounded by family.
Buster was born on February 9, 1931 in Brainerd to Joel and Anna Borders. On February 20, 1952 he married Elaine Jaglo with whom he shared nearly 56 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Elaine; children, Renae (John) Vogt, Brainerd, Sandra Magnan (Friend Gary Sholl), Clearlake Oaks, CA, Ricky (Peggy) Borders, Brainerd, Jeffrey (Lisa) Borders, Annandale, Kim (Barry) Sell, Baxter, Bradley (Barb) Borders, Sartell, Daniel (Chris) Borders, Brooklyn Park, and Gregory (Cathy) Borders, Little Falls; 30 Grandchildren;16 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Betty Parsons, Duluth and June Olson, Lecanto, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Borders and Anna and Carl Palmquist, brothers Clarence and Clifford, and great grandchild Breanna Cantu.
Buster worked for Burlington Northern Railroad from 1949 until his retirement in 1990. He was also a Brainerd Volunteer Firefighter for 21 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion and Eagles Clubs, an Army veteran serving during the Korean War and a member of NARVE.
Buster loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. He was always the fan in the standsfor his childrens and grandchildrens activities and shared their enthusiasm. Camping was another passion and he was a member of the Rollin Rangers for many years.
Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 1:00 pm at St. Francis Church in Brainerd. Friends may call from 4-7 pm Friday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter or Saturday 1 hour prior to the service at St. Francis Church.
