Clifton King

Clifton King, age 77, of Walker, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Sanford Health Center in Bemidji. He was born October 13, 1933. Clifton served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957. He lived in Blind Lake for many years before moving to Pine River to raise his family. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, bird feeding, rock picking and playing guitar.

Clifton is survived by his children: Teresa King, Clorinda Deshayes (Todd); special friend, Minna Drinka; sisters: Bernadine Draheim, Rebecca Berge, Eva Lane, Arilla Anderson; grandchildren: Jessica Goldenstein, Carolyn Goldenstein, Annette Goldenstein, Robert Goldenstein, Samantha Marsh, Danielle Deshayes, Francesca Deshayes; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Durward and Rachel King; brothers, Jerry and Robin; and grandson, Eli.


Services will be 2 PM on Sunday, October 2, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
