Cleo Smith

Cleo Emily Smith, age 87, of Pine River, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at her home. She was born September 30, 1933, to Frank and Nolma Reed in Deweese, Nebraska. Cleo was a manager at the Jenkins VFW for many years. She enjoyed playing trivia, spending time with her family and her dog, Chico.

Cleo is survived by her sons: Randy Smith (Mary Jo), Rusty Smith (Renee), Riche Smith (Diane); daughter, Jenna Lang; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; 7 siblings; 1 heavenly great granddaughter; and son-in-law, Earl Lang.

Cleo’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Aby Philip and St. Croix Hospice.

A graveside service will be 1 PM on Thursday, August 12, at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the graveside service at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at the Pine River American Legion.
