Clarence Howe, Jr.

Clarence Howe, Jr., age 73, of Backus, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010. He was born May 19, 1936, in Backus, to Clarence and Edna Howe. Clarence married Shirley Kuhlmann in Mason City, Iowa, on February 18, 1961. He loved to fish, hunt and watch football.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Shirley; children: Mark Howe, Mike Howe, Lynette Haux; brothers: Gary Howe, Donnie Howe; sisters: Loris Hilde, Joyce Lotz; grandchildren: Troy Howe, Emily Howe, Jesus Howe, Rico Howe, Brittany Howe, Keegan Howe, Dillon Howe, Kelsey Howe, Samantha Haux, Anthony Haux, Ryan Haux; great grandchildren: Ava Danielson-Howe and Angel Howe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1 PM on Wednesday, February 24, at Mildred Bible Chapel, Backus, with Pastor Dennis Gellerman officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Backus. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service.
