Clarence Bragstad

Clarence Gabriel Bragstad, 85, of Pequot Lakes, Minn., passed away at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009.
Services for Clarence will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December, 30 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes. Friends are welcome to gather Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at Kline Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes. Interment will follow services at Our Savior's Cemetery. Clarence was born on July 13, 1924, in Pequot Lakes, Minn. He was the son of Albert and Anna Bragstad. Clarence loved to farm, and spent his life raising dairy cattle in Pequot Lakes on the family farm. Aside from farming, Clarence enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and motorcycling. He enjoyed Friday evening Legion dinners, church lutefisk dinners and Sunday drives. When visiting, he never missed an opportunity to tell stories of the farm, and his family. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Clarence will be missed by his family. He is survived by his brother, Alfred(Audrey) Bragstad, of Pequot Lakes; nephews and nieces: Lance (Robyn)Bragstad of Pequot Lakes, Lisa Everhart (Ward) Brooks of Orlando Fl., Laurie Everhart (Allen) Hall of Baxter, Lonni Everhart (Chuck) Isackson of Baxter, Les (MaryEllen) Everhart of Maple Grove, John (Cheryl) Cummings of Edina, Joannie (Greg) Schawlen of Minneapolis, Gail Podany of Minnetonka, Carol Podany (Marty) Semerau of Anoka; and many great-nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Nina Podany and Borgild (Kay) Cumming.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be given to a favorite charity of Clarence's.
