Christa Larson

Christa Maria Larson, 71, Hackensack, died Friday, December 18, 2009 surrounded by her children at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. A Celebration of her life is planned for Sunday December 27, 2009-2:00 P.M. at the hackensack Senior Center, Hackensack, MN. Friends and relatives are invited to share special memories and stories of Christa. Christa was born August 12, 1938 in East Germany, the daughter of Curt and Irmgard (Siloman Pflug) Erdmann. After growing up in Germany, Christa spent five years in London working as an Au Pair. When she returned to Germany she worked as a nurse. She married Richard Larson, whom she met while he was stationed in Germany, in 1967. They moved to the United States made their homes in Dubuque, IA, raised their family in Chaska,MN., and retired in Hackensack. Christa was a caregiver and master gardener. She loved her family, friends, her home on the lake, and her cherished dog, Freedom.
Christa will be greatly missed by her children, Martina Larson, of St. Bonifacius, Britta Larson, of Greenwood, and Bjorn (Niki) Larson, of Edina; her brother, Bernd Erdmann, of Germany; and her grandson, Jhett Larson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Richard; and her sister, Erika.
