Cheryl Abbott

Cheryl Darlene Abbott, age 54, of Backus, MN, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at her home. She was born to Edward and Ruth Gillespie on April 14, 1962, in Rochester, Michigan. Cheryl graduated from Sparta High School in Sparta, Wisconsin. She married Scott David Abbott on June 12, 1982.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Scott; sons: Edward Abbott, Duane Abbott, Glen Abbott; brothers: Ron Gillespie (Carol), Dale Gillespie (Cindy), Gary Gillespie (Debbie), Doug Gillespie (Sue); sisters-in-law: Linda Gillespie, Kathy Gillespie; grandchildren: Scotty, Dotty, Ben and Briston; and mother and father-in-law, Katherine and John Abbott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward and Curt; and stepfather, Victor Streeter.

Services will be 3 PM on Wednesday, June1, at Mildred Bible Chapel, Backus, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside service will be 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 2, at Cataract Cemetery in Cataract, Wisconsin.
