Charlotte Thaler

Charlotte Ann Thaler, age 82, of Backus, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, at her home. She was born to Ralph and Vivian Swarm on July 1, 1931, in Hadley, MN. Charlotte was united in marriage to Alvin Thaler on August 20, 1948. She was an active member of the Backus Legion Auxiliary for 60 years. She was a strong family person who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very proud of each one of them.

Charlotte is survived by her husband of 65 years, Al; sons: Steve (Kathy), Mark, Jim, Ed (Lisa); daughters: Rose Keep (Dennis), Barb Gravett (Tad); daughter-in-law, Jeanine Thaler; sisters: June (Jim), Nina (Arn); 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Charles and John; and brother, Harley.

Services will be 11 AM on Monday, April 28, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
