Charlotte Fabian

Charlotte Mae (Ziemer) Fabian, 87, of Staples, MN died on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples. Funeral services for Charlotte will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples, MN, with visitation one hour prior to services.

Charlotte was born on November 3, 1926 in Roseville Township, Herman, MN to Albert and Winifred (Clark) Ziemer. She attended elementary school in Roseville Township, was confirmed in Kongsvinger Lutheran Church in 1939 and graduated from Hoffman High School in 1943. Charlotte then attended Minneapolis Business College and was employed by Davis Lyons Law Firm and Attorney Martin Brandon in Fergus Falls, MN, from 1944-1948. She returned to Herman and was employed by Delaware Farmers Mutual Insurance Company from 1948-1951. Charlotte married William Fabian on May 26, 1951, and four children were born to this union. The family moved to Fargo, ND in 1964 where she was employed by Knox Music Center, Sound Inc, and Wimmer's Jewelry, until her retirement in 1997. Charlotte was active in St. John's Lutheran Church as treasurer for 17 years and volunteered at St. Luke's and Dakota Hospitals for many years. In 2006, Charlotte and Bill moved to Staples, MN to be closer to their family. More than anything, Charlotte's love of her family and spending time visiting and being with them, and other friends was the highlight of her life. She will be remembered for her love of and dedication to her family.

Charlotte is survived by her three sons; David (Beth) of Staples, MN, Daniel (Roxanne) of Roseau, MN, John (Alana) of Coon Rapids, MN; daughter, Mary (Casey) Whelan of Maple Grove, MN; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
