Charles Floyd Miller, age 73, of Motley, MN, passed away on April 26, 2001 at Woodland Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Brainerd, MN. A private family gathering was held on April 27th. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples, MN.
Charles Floyd Miller was born on December 30, 1927, in Washington, PA, to Kenneth and Lenora (Scott) Miller. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a meteorologist from 1945 until he retired as a Master Sergeant in 1969. Following his retirement, he moved to Motley, MN and farmed until 1992. He was a member of the American Legion. Charles will be specially remembered by Rod Enberg and many good friends and fellow hunters in the Motley area.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Miller, Jr. and Deborah Carter of Sonora, CA, Karl Scott Miller of Hill City, SD, and Denise Miller of Modesto, CA; a brother, Gerald Miller of So. Attleboro, MA; a sister, Judith Barufaldi of New Harbor, ME; his lifelong friend and cousin, William Willis of Reynoldsburg, OH; a cousin, Helen Castoe of Reynoldsburg, OH; 6 grandchildren, Shawnee Strand, Donald Scott, Stacey Scott, Danielle Frisbie, Shawn Carter, and Vicki Gutierrez; 9 great-grandchildren, Patrick Scott, Andrew and Kathryn Frisbie, Bryce Jackson, Alex Asencio, Christopher Warlick, Gabrielle and Elizabeth Gutierrez, and Emily Strand.
