Charles Albert Linn, age 74, of Backus, MN passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Charles was born in 1941 to Albert and Lucille Linn of Backus, MN. Charles attended Backus High School, Oak Hills Bible College and Bemidji State College.
On August 28th, 1965, he married Sharon Nieman. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary together later this summer.
Charles worked as a teacher at Fosston High School and retired in 2000. He was very active in the churches he attended, both in Fosston and Backus. His faith in God was evident in all that he did. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and adored his grandchildren and the joy they brought him. He loved outdoor activities, especially camping, hiking, skiing, and hunting.
Charles is survived by his spouse, Sharon, and his children: Anthony Linn, Kara Linn, Andrew (Kelly) Linn and their children, Ethan and Levi, and Kevin (Holly) Linn and their son, Preston. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Linn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 21 from 4-6 pm at Kline Funeral Home in Pine River, MN. Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22 at 1 pm with visitation one hour prior at Mildred Bible Chapel in Backus, MN. Burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Miracle Bible Camp, Longville, MN.
