Charles Hughes

Charles Evans Hughes, age 81, of Crosslake MN, formerly of Kelliher MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake MN. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.

He was born to Evans and Hylma Hughes on August 31, 1937 in St. Paul, MN. Chuck married Janet May Bauer on June 1, 1957 in Kelliher. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, snowmobiling and especially loved his grandchildren and animals.

Left to cherish his memories including his wife of 62 years Jan Hughes, daughters Jody (Joel) Holstad, Darla (Todd) Marek, grandchildren Amanda Jean (Randall) Kamstra, Peter Evans (Cassandra) Holstad, Devon Charles Holstad, Bryce Martin Holstad, Paige Marie (Sloan) Finke, Jace Allen Marek, great grandchildren Addison Rose Kamstra, Cullen David Holstad, Jaxson Roger Finke, brother Warren Gene (Patricia) Hughes.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and brother Maurice John Hughes.
